The Fabrics of Summer: Linen

Linen is one of the oldest dating textiles in the world with numerous intact fragments having been recovered from ancient excavation sites. In the era before air conditioning, linen was the go-to cloth as its loosely crossed fibers rendered this fabric a light weight yet durable and hard-wearing material that allowed for air ventilation.

Today, this still remains a MUST HAVE in our books as with its visibly textured weave, linen suiting is fashionable yet practical and great to wear to all summer events such as outdoor garden parties or wedding receptions.
